About Greenthumb

The pecan groves along the valley hold their leaves late, and when they finally let go it happens all at once, in a single week of October wind. Greenthumb handles what falls: leaf and debris cleanup, mowing and edging, and trimming back beds so a yard goes into winter tidy and open. Fall in Canutillo is generous — cool mornings, long warm afternoons, low light coming in across the fields. There is real pleasure in raking a yard clean and turning around to find nothing left to do. Come the warm months the same yards are mowed on rotation, which is why the cleanup is never a battle.
