Broom's Sprinklers

About Broom's Sprinklers

Water is the whole argument in North Texas, and Burkburnett makes it every July. Broom's Sprinklers keeps irrigation lines honest — heads set, zones timed, leaks found before they turn a lawn into a soft spot — and looks after the mowing and trimming that follow good water. At dusk the spray catches the last low light coming off the plains, and a lawn drinks for twenty minutes while the town cools. There is a plain pleasure in a green yard on a red-dirt street in the middle of a dry spell. The work runs through Burkburnett and down toward Wichita Falls and Iowa Park.
