About Praetorian Landscaping

East of town the subdivisions thin out and Buda goes back to what it used to be: long fence lines, mesquite and prickly pear, and a wind that crosses the whole prairie before it ever reaches you. Praetorian Landscaping takes the big open lots out that way along with the tighter yards in town — mowing acreage down to something orderly, trimming fence rows, edging the drive, clearing whatever has blown in. There is a plain pleasure in standing at the gate afterward and seeing straight lines where none existed that morning. The job asks the same in July heat as it does under a gray January sky. Buda, Niederwald, Uhland, Kyle and the country toward Creedmoor are all on the map.
