About A&R Landscaping and Lawncare Services

The resacas hold the morning before the town does — flat silver water, a heron standing in it, the bank grass still bent with dew. A&R Landscaping and Lawncare Services starts on that light, mowing and edging while the air is still soft enough to work in. By the time the breeze swings around from the southeast, the trimming is finished, the hedges are shaped, and every clipping is off the walks and out of the water. Brownsville lawns never truly stop growing, so the route never truly stops either, and that turns out to be its own pleasure: the same yards coming back around, greener each visit. A straight edge along a driveway in this town is a small, stubborn act of order, and it holds.
