About Picturesque Landscaping

Pecans let go over Brookshire in October, and for a few weeks every yard under an old tree wears a scatter of husks and leaves. Picturesque Landscaping reads that as an invitation, clearing the drop, mowing the grass back to an even nap and re-cutting the beds so the shapes show again. Fall here is gentle and slow, the best stretch of the year to give a landscape its structure back. A raked, mown, edged yard on a cool October afternoon has a composed look that nothing else quite matches. It is a small thing to make a place beautiful, and worth doing anyway.
