Grassmaster

About Grassmaster

Bridgeport was laid out on brick and coal, and the old streets still run straight through the middle of town where the storefronts hold the afternoon light. After a spring rain the lawns along them come up all at once, greening from the roots inside a week. Grassmaster meets that surge with steady mowing, a firm edge cut along curbs and walkways, trimming where a mower cannot fit, and a cleanup that leaves the sidewalk bare. Wise County springs move fast — a warm front, a downpour, then four inches of growth while nobody was looking — and staying ahead of it is most of the craft. What is left behind is a lawn with a border you can see from the street.
