November comes to downtown Brenham with pecans dropping onto the sidewalks and the first real norther pushing leaves down the brick storefront streets. Tree Care Inc - Brenham works the town lots and the neighborhoods behind them — tree trimming and pruning that keep a canopy off an old roof and out of the utility drop, tree removal when a tree wedged between two houses has run out of room and time. Cold fronts here can arrive with straight-line wind behind them, and a yard full of limbs at breakfast is clear by supper once storm damage cleanup is done. An old pecan pruned with a light hand looks as though nothing was done to it at all, which is precisely the aim. Brenham and the towns south and east along the highways round out the service area.
