Land Mechanics

About Land Mechanics

Under a couple of inches of Panhandle topsoil around Borger you hit caliche, and that hardpan decides a great deal about what a yard can do. Land Mechanics works with that fact rather than against it — mowing at the right height, keeping edges cut where turf meets caliche drive, trimming out the thin margins where grass gives up and gravel begins. The machines get the same respect as the ground does; sharp blades and even passes are what separate a cut lawn from a chewed one. Summer here arrives hot and dry with a wind out of the southwest that never quite quits, and a property that stays neat through it is the result of showing up on schedule. Standing at the curb afterward, with everything level and swept and the sky enormous overhead, is the whole reason for the trade.
