About Life’s a Beach LLC

Crystal Beach in July is bare feet on hot shell, ice chests on the porch stairs, and a house that has to look looked-after by the time the next carload turns in off Highway 87. Life's a Beach LLC keeps that promise with a mower and a trimmer and a habit of showing up between one set of guests and the next. Sandy ground, salt in the wind and a sun that does not let up make peninsula grass grow in bursts, so the cutting is steady and the edges get walked twice. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass, when the blown drive is bright and empty and the yard sits crisp against the dune fence. Beach living should feel unbothered; somebody has to do the bothering, and they are glad it is them.
