Shear Perfection

About Shear Perfection

Boling grew up on the Gulf Coast prairie of Wharton County beside a great sulfur dome, and for much of the twentieth century the mining company town of Newgulf rose and fell just down the road. Today the country around Boling is rice, cotton and pasture, flat as a tabletop under heavy summer air. Shear Perfection brings a trimmer's precision to the lawns here, grass mown to a single level, with borders shaped so every line of a yard pulls taut. In a landscape this open, clean geometry stands out like a signpost. On a still July evening, as the heat finally breaks and long shadows stretch across a freshly sheared lawn, the name explains itself.
