About Travis Landscaping

Along Cibolo Creek the bald cypress turn rust and copper in November, and for a few short weeks the whole town is busy letting go of its leaves. Travis Landscaping follows that season through the yards around Boerne — mowing while the grass still asks for it, edging the walks, raking and hauling the leaf fall, clearing the branch litter the wind leaves in the beds. Late afternoon is the good hour for the work, when the light comes in sideways off the creek bottom and a freshly cut lawn looks lit from underneath. Winter here is short and pale, and a yard put to bed clean in the fall wakes up far better come March. The pleasure is plain: a loaded trailer, an open lawn, and a walkway you can see the shape of again.
