Huck's Lawn Care

About Huck's Lawn Care

The old suspension bridge at Bluff Dale still hangs over the Paluxy on its cables and planks, with a hundred and thirty-odd years of river running underneath. Around it the Cross Timbers roll on in post oak and sandy ground, and Erath County's pastures come right up to the edge of the yards. Huck's Lawn Care works that in-between country with mowing, edging, string trimming and cleanup, keeping home ground distinct from the brush that would happily take it back. The line between kept and unkept is sharper here than in a city, which makes a clean border along a drive genuinely satisfying to cut. Come evening, with the grass even and the walks blown clear, a place out here reads as looked-after all the way from the road.
