JM Lawn Care

About JM Lawn Care

Interstate 20 runs east and west past Big Spring all day long, but the town keeps its own hour — the one just after supper, when the sprinklers tick on and the heat finally lets go of the pavement. JM Lawn Care aims at the yards that look right in that light: grass cut to one even height, edges run true along the curb and the drive, trimmings gone instead of raked into a heap by the gate. Mowing, edging, string trimming and cleanup, carried through the long Permian Basin summer and the mild stretches on either side of it. There is a plain pleasure in a lawn that had gotten away from somebody and now looks like it never did. That turn — shaggy at nine, sharp by noon — is most of the reason to do this work at all.
