About Bernhard Jr.'s Lawn Care Service

In spring the wind off Belton Lake carries a little water in it, and yards on the north side of town green up in a rush. Bernhard Jr.'s Lawn Care Service meets that first flush with a steady weekly cut: mowing, edging, string trimming along fences and mailbox posts, then a clean sweep of everything the blades threw. Cedar elms scatter their small litter across the lawns out that way, and it goes with the truck rather than into the beds. Nothing about the work is complicated. It's a yard handled properly, week after week, while the lake wind does its own quiet mowing over the water.
