Coaches Cuts

About Coaches Cuts

Anyone who has ever mown a ball field at Bob Bryant Park knows the pleasure of a straight pass, and Coaches Cuts brings that same eye to front lawns in Bastrop. Autumn Fridays here smell like cut grass and cooling evenings, and a yard laid down in clean alternating rows looks the way a field does before a game. The work is mowing, edging along drives and walks, trimming the corners a mower cannot reach, and blowing every blade off the concrete. Bermuda slows as the nights turn, so the routine shifts from weekly speed to a careful last few cuts. A yard should look ready — that is the whole idea.
