About Bar T land Services

West of Brownwood the country opens into mesquite and prickly pear, and Bangs sits right where the Cross Timbers loosen into open range. Bar T land Services works the yards and lots out here the way the land asks to be worked: mowed clean, edged straight, the clippings blown off the walk before the truck rolls out. Summer comes down hard and dry in Brown County, so the mowing height follows the grass instead of the calendar, left long while the heat holds and tightened once rain finally crosses US-67. There is a plain satisfaction in a lot that stood shin-deep at sunup and lies squared off by mid-afternoon, the fence line visible again. When the first norther slides down out of the north, the work turns to hauling off everything the season dropped.
