About Red Agave Landscape

On the slopes below Mount Bonnell the ground is caliche and heat, and the plants that belong there know it — agave holding its shape through the worst of summer, Texas sage flowering the day after rain, prickly pear taking the west sun without complaint. Red Agave Landscape builds yards around that logic: drought-hardy plantings set in place, decomposed granite paths, gravel and boulder work, beds designed for a climate that runs hot and dry for months at a stretch. At dusk the low sun rakes across a gravel yard and every leaf edge lights up at once. It is a different kind of green, and it keeps looking that way in the hardest part of the year.
