Mike's Tree & Lawn

About Mike's Tree & Lawn

Winter is the season to touch an Austin oak — cold months, sap down, wounds sealed, and the trees left alone the rest of the year. Mike's Tree & Lawn keeps that calendar over on the Pleasant Valley and Riverside blocks where the pecans lean out over the fences and the live oaks have been there longer than the houses. Limbs get lifted off roofs and drives, deadwood taken out, brush hauled away; then the ground work follows — mowing, edging, trimming out under the canopy, leaf and hull cleanup where the pecans have been busy. Trees and turf are one system, and treating them that way is the difference between a yard and a lot. Look up from a finished job and both stories are in order.
