Lone Star Mowing

About Lone Star Mowing

Where the city thins out toward the prairie the lots get generous — an acre of Bermuda under a July sky the color of hot tin, cicadas sawing away in the fencerow elms. Lone Star Mowing lives for that kind of ground. The deck goes on the grass early, before the afternoon turns the air to glass, and the passes come off long and parallel, the way big turf ought to be cut. Edges held at the drive, trimmer run out around the posts and the mailbox, clippings blown off the concrete and the job's closed. Nothing complicated in it — just wide open Texas grass, mowed even, from one fence to the other.
