Green Zone Sprinklers

About Green Zone Sprinklers

An Austin summer asks a hard question of every lawn, and the answer usually starts underground. Green Zone Sprinklers walks the zones at first light through Rosedale and Allandale, where St. Augustine runs thin beneath old live oaks and one crooked head can waste a whole morning of water. Heads get straightened, spray patterns retuned to the true shape of the yard, timers reset to the days the city actually allows. The mowing follows the same reasoning — cut high enough that the grass shades its own roots through August, edged clean along the walks, trimmed close at the fence line. By the time the evening grackles take over the power lines, the turf is even and every drop is landing where it was meant to land.
