Dewey Lawns

About Dewey Lawns

North Austin gets one cool hour a day and it belongs to the dawn — grass silver with dew, Walnut Creek fogged in below the trees, the traffic still only a rumor. Dewey Lawns takes that hour. Mowing, edging, trimming and blow-down through the neighborhoods off Rundberg and Braker, moving early while the sun is still deciding to be serious. Cut at that time of morning and a lawn keeps its color; the lines lie down flat and the clippings stay put. By mid-morning the trucks are two neighborhoods on and the first yards are already dry, tidy and standing wide open in the sun.
