Freeman’s Lawn Care

About Freeman’s Lawn Care

Every May the fiddlers take over the courthouse square in Athens, and the town spends a weekend outdoors with its yards on display. Freeman's Lawn Care is at its busiest right then, when grass in this county is growing about as fast as it ever will. Late spring means cutting on a tight cycle, pushing back the creep along walks and drives, trimming fence lines and tree rings, and clearing the cuttings before an afternoon storm turns them into a mess. Old shaded lots near the middle of town and newer open ones out on the highway take different heights, and matching that is most of the craft. A yard cut right in May sets up the whole rest of the Athens summer.
