About DropTex Irrigation and Landscape

August is the real test in this part of Texas: three weeks without rain and the clay opens in cracks you could lose a ring in. DropTex Irrigation and Landscape mows accordingly — a taller cut so the blades shade their own roots, sharp equipment so the tips don't fray and brown, early hours so nothing gets stressed twice in one day. Athens lawns are a patchwork of full-sun bermuda and St. Augustine hiding under oaks, and in a dry spell the two ask for opposite things. Around the mowing go the edges, the trim work at posts and bed lines, and clearing the clippings off drives and walks. When the September rains finally come, the yards that were cut with the heat in mind are the ones that green up in a week.
