Clean Cut

About Clean Cut

January turns Athens bermuda the color of a paper sack, and people who only see the town in summer assume there's nothing left to do. Clean Cut knows better — dormant season is when a yard's bones show, and every ragged edge and forgotten corner sits out in plain view. Winter work here is hauling leaves from under the post oaks, cutting back what died off, redrawing the line where turf meets drive, and taking the grass down so green-up comes in even. Cold mornings in this county are short and bright, and there is real satisfaction in a tan winter lawn that still looks intentional. Come March, the yards that got tended in the cold are the ones that turn first.
