Lawn Perks

About Lawn Perks

Cotton ground runs flat to every horizon around Amherst, and the town itself is a small grid of quiet streets set down in the middle of all that working land. Out here a green yard is a little act of defiance: spring winds lift sand off the bare fields, June sun hammers straight down at noon, and every blade has to be coaxed along. Lawn Perks keeps Amherst lawns mowed and trimmed through all of it, the kind of neat you notice when a long freight rumbles past and you glance up from the porch. In a farm town, a clean-cut lawn says somebody is home and paying attention. When nearly every acre in sight is busy growing a crop, that soft patch of grass out front is a perk worth keeping.
