Southwest Hydroseeding

About Southwest Hydroseeding

The kindest hour for hydroseeding in Amarillo is the one just after sunrise, before the wind wakes up and goes hunting for loose soil. That is when Southwest Hydroseeding can send its green slurry arcing over bare ground, seed and mulch and water bound together so it stays where it lands instead of drifting off toward Oklahoma. On the High Plains a raw lot is an open invitation to blowing dust, and a new lawn has to take hold fast. Give it a warm stretch in late spring and the kind of soaking rain that brings the playa lakes back to life, and the brown blushes into a soft green fuzz, then thickens into grass you can walk barefoot across. Few sights in Amarillo feel as hopeful as bare dirt deciding to become a yard.
