Ortega's Lawn Care Service

About Ortega's Lawn Care Service

By three o'clock in July the light off Amarillo Boulevard goes white and flat, and the only sensible place to be is under a shade tree with the yard already behind you. Ortega's Lawn Care Service starts long before that, moving through the older San Jacinto blocks and out across town while the morning still holds some cool. Mowing, edging, trimming around porch steps and chain link, and every walk cleared of clippings before the truck rolls on to the next stop. Weed control runs through the season, fertilization keeps the bermuda fed, and cleanups take out the leaves and blown-in debris that settle into the beds. Come evening, when the heat finally lets go its grip, the yard is the best room in the house.
