Mitchell's Landscaping

About Mitchell's Landscaping

When the July heat finally loosens its grip and the old neon along the Route 66 stretch of Sixth Avenue flickers on, Amarillo's lawns get their first easy breath of the day, and the ones Mitchell's Landscaping looks after are ready to show it. Summer here tests a lawn's patience: dry weeks on end, a sun that bleaches whatever it touches, evenings that hold the heat in the pavement long after dark. Grass in this city earns its green, and the details are what carry it through: a clean mowing pass, a tight edge along the sidewalk, shrubs shaped so the house steps forward instead of hiding. Drive home through town as the light fades and you can pick out the yards that got that attention. They look cool even when the thermometer insists otherwise.
