Coleman's Lawn Care

About Coleman's Lawn Care

North of town the ground finally breaks — the flat gives way to the Canadian River breaks, and the cottonwoods down in them turn a hard yellow every November. That color shows up in Amarillo yards soon enough, in drifts against the fence and rafts across the grass. Coleman's Lawn Care handles the turn of the season: a last set of cuts, borders kept defined while the turf slows down, leaves gathered and carried off instead of left to smother what is underneath. Autumn on the plains is short and beautiful and mostly windy, so the work is a matter of catching it at exactly the right moment. A lawn cleared before the first hard freeze comes back in spring like it had been waiting.
