Blake's Lawn Care

About Blake's Lawn Care

Saturday morning in an Amarillo neighborhood has a sound to it — garage doors going up, a dog barking two houses down, somebody's truck idling while the trailer ramp comes off. Blake's Lawn Care is part of that sound most weeks. Cutting, edging, trimming and blowing off the walk: the same four steps in the same order, until a yard looks the way its owner keeps meaning to make it look. Grass here gets exactly what the sky decides to give it, so the timing follows the week rather than a calendar in a kitchen drawer. By lunchtime the trailer is loaded, the street is quiet, and a dozen front yards carry one straight line down the curb.
