Turf and Soil Management

About Turf and Soil Management

August splits the blackland clay open in seams wide enough to lose a pencil in, and that is when it becomes obvious that a lawn is really a soil story. Turf and Soil Management works from the ground up in Alvarado — core aeration to open compacted clay so water and air reach the roots, fertilization timed to how Bermuda actually grows here, weed control before a patch becomes a problem, and mowing at a height that shades the soil instead of baking it. Done in the right order, a thin, struggling yard fills in and holds its color deeper into the season. Edging and trimming finish the picture, but the health underneath is what makes the picture last. Alvarado, and the towns around Johnson County.
