Grassholes

About Grassholes

The name gets a laugh. The edges get the compliments. Grassholes runs Saturday mornings in Alvarado the way anybody serious about turf does — deck set high enough that the Bermuda keeps its color, a straight line down the walk, the trimmer worked into every corner the mower cannot honor, and the drive blown clean before the trailer moves. Out here the summer is long and the grass does not politely wait, so the schedule matters more than the equipment does. Ten minutes after they pull out, a yard that had been shaggy since the last rain looks like it belongs to somebody who noticed.
