Outwest Mowing and Services

About Outwest Mowing and Services

Drive west out of Abilene toward Tye and Merkel and the sky takes over — turbines turning slow on the far ridges, caliche drives running white toward houses set well back from the road. Outwest Mowing and Services keeps to that country: mowing and trimming on acreage and in town, edging along drives and walks, brush and debris cleared out and hauled off, overgrown lots knocked back before they get away from anybody. Grass out here comes on hard after a storm and then waits patiently through the dry, and the route follows suit. There is a plain pleasure in leaving a place open and orderly under all that sky.
