About Jesse's Lawn Service

By late August, Abilene work starts before the sun does, the truck loaded at first grey and the first mower running while the pavement still gives back last night's heat. Jesse's Lawn Service takes the day in that order, cutting through the cool end of morning and finishing the trimming and edging before the thermometer gets serious. Grass this time of year needs height more than it needs a haircut, so the deck stays up and the color stays in. Walks, drives and porches get cleared until the concrete goes back to being concrete. It is a long season out here, and it gets met one early morning at a time.
