About Abilene Home Service

On the west side of Abilene the morning comes in flat and gold, and the grass wakes up well before the traffic on I-20 does. Abilene Home Service works those hours, mowing, edging and trimming while the caliche is still cool underfoot and the sprinklers are shutting off block by block. A yard here has to be cut with the wind in mind, because it crosses the Big Country with nothing to slow it down and it takes clippings wherever it likes. What's left when the mower is loaded is a clean line at the walk, a lawn holding the same height corner to corner, and a driveway blown bare. Small thing and whole thing at once: this is the house on the street that looks looked after.
