DB LawnCare

About DB LawnCare

October turns the maples on the older streets of White House a color you can pick out from two blocks away, and then, across about three weeks, sets the whole business down on the grass. DB LawnCare comes for that part of the year — leaf removal, the closing mowings of the season, beds cleared so a lawn goes into winter able to breathe. There is a particular pleasure in a yard that was ankle-deep at eight in the morning and open, banded and bare by noon. Cool air, the dusty smell of oak leaves, a loaded trailer at the end of the row. That is autumn in White House, on out through Cross Plains and Coopertown, until the ground finally goes quiet.
