Barnes lawns and more

About Barnes lawns and more

Saturday morning in Union City sounds like screen doors and mower engines, one street picking it up from the next. Barnes lawns and more works those quiet blocks, mowing, trimming close around mailbox posts and maples, then blowing the clippings off the walk so the concrete reads clean again. A yard looks bigger when its edges are honest, and that is most of the trade right there. By afternoon the shade has slid across the porch and the lines in the grass are still holding. It is ordinary work carried all the way to the end, house after house.
