Ridge Land Gardens

About Ridge Land Gardens

Rhododendron and laurel hold the slopes above Unicoi green all year, so October's color comes from everything else — hickory yellow, sourwood red, the whole valley turning at once. Ridge Land Gardens works with that grain: garden beds planted and tended, mulch laid, shrubs shaped, lawns mowed, trimmed and edged on a regular round. When the season flips and snow reaches the county roads, the same crew clears drives, lots and walkways and treats them against ice. There's a case to be made that a garden is most honest in November, when nothing is hiding behind bloom. Good bones show then, and that's what the work is aiming at.
