Brandon's Lawncare

About Brandon's Lawncare

Out past the last streetlight in Trenton, the soybean fields run to the horizon and evening comes down in one long orange band. Brandon's Lawncare often finishes in that light — the last pass of the mower, the trimmer's whine dropping off, a yard left quiet and even. The work is mowing, string trimming, edge work along drives and walks, and hauling off what falls when the pecans and maples let go in autumn. Flat country makes for big lawns, and big lawns reward patience more than hurry. There's a particular satisfaction in stepping back at dusk and seeing the stripes hold their line all the way to the ditch.
