Mashburn Backhoe Services

About Mashburn Backhoe Services

Out where the pastures roll off toward Niota, a February snow does not cancel the chores — the cattle still eat, and something has to get down the lane to feed them. Mashburn Backhoe Services works that side of winter around Sweetwater, pushing drives, lanes and lots open after a storm and salting the pinch points where a hill runs up against a gate. A backhoe carries the weight for wet, heavy snow and the manners not to gouge a gravel lane while moving it. There is a plain sort of pride in a farm road that is open by feeding time and a turnaround wide enough for a truck. Mashburn serves Sweetwater and the country around it toward Philadelphia, Niota and Madisonville.
