Earth to Turf

About Earth to Turf

Robertson County sits on limestone, and this ground raises tobacco, corn and hay without much persuasion — a lawn is only the same soil asked to do something else. Earth to Turf begins there: what the dirt is, how it drains, which grass is truly in the yard. Mowing height, trimming and seasonal cleanups all answer to the turf rather than to a fixed routine, and fescue in a Springfield August wants different handling than it does in May. A thick, even stand of grass is never luck; it is a hundred small decisions made the same way every single week. That is the result worth working toward, one yard at a time.
