Tennessee Yardworks

About Tennessee Yardworks

In July the thunderheads stack up west of Spring Hill, and you can watch them cross the ridgelines a full hour before the first drop lands. Tennessee Yardworks reads that sky the way people here always have — get the mowing done, get the trimming done, get the clippings blown clear before the rain turns the whole county green again overnight. Yards along the Williamson–Maury line run to slopes and hayfield edges, and keeping them neat means knowing where the mower belongs and where the string trimmer has to finish the sentence. There is a plain satisfaction in grass cut clean right up to the fence posts, the mailbox, the shed corner, with nothing shaggy left behind. When the storm finally breaks over the hills, the place looks the way a Tennessee summer ought to look.
