About Southeast Land Services

The land along the Hiwassee opens wide and flat toward Calhoun, and a farm lane in that country can run a quarter mile before it ever reaches a door. Southeast Land Services clears ground on that scale in winter: long driveways plowed end to end, turnarounds opened, walks and entries cut clean, ice treated at the gates and the steps. Working acreage is a matter of patience and route — where to push the snow so it will not be in the way next time, where the wind will pile it back by dusk. There is something steadying about looking down a lane at last light and seeing two dark tracks turn into one open road. That is the shape of a day finished right in this part of Bradley County.
