About Knight's Light Excavation

The hills between the pike and the river are the ones that close a school, and everybody here knows which grade will hold ice the longest. Knight's Light Excavation puts its equipment to snow work in Soddy-Daisy — plowing driveways and lots, clearing the aprons where the county plow leaves a ridge behind, and treating the short steep stretches that decide whether a car makes it up. Light excavation means smaller machines that can get in close, turn tight, and finish the corners a wide blade skips. There is a plain, ordinary pleasure in an open driveway at first light. Then it is on to the next one.
