Chase's Lawn Service

About Chase's Lawn Service

Rockwood's streets tilt toward the mountain, and just about everything in this line of work follows that grade. Chase's Lawn Service spends the green months mowing, trimming and edging, then hauls the leaves off when the oaks finally let go in November. When a Cumberland front slides down off the plateau and glazes the valley overnight, the same truck goes out with a blade and a bag of salt — drives opened, walks shoveled, the slick low corner treated before anyone backs out of it. Two seasons, two sounds: a machine humming in July, steel scraping concrete in January. Both end the same way, with a property somebody can actually use.
