D&B Services

About D&B Services

Off Minor Hill Road the gravel lanes run a quarter mile between fence posts before they ever find a house. When ice comes to Giles County those lanes are the first thing to go and the last thing anybody else thinks about, which is where D&B Services does its winter work — plowing the long approach, opening the turnaround, cutting a path wide enough for a truck to come and go without a second guess. Country snow sits differently than town snow; it drifts against a hedgerow and glazes hard where the wind has crossed a bare field. The reward is simple and total: a lane that is passable at seven in the morning, gate to blacktop. In Pulaski that counts as the whole day being saved.
