About Divinity Lawn

By the first week of April the dogwoods around Powell open all at once, white against woods still mostly bare, and every yard in town suddenly wants cutting. Divinity Lawn keeps that rhythm — mowing, trimming close around trunks and posts, edging the walks, clearing the clippings so the blossoms are the only thing left on the grass. Through summer the visits hold steady; through fall they turn toward leaves. A yard kept this way is quiet in the best sense, the kind nobody has to think about. That is what the work is after here, week after week in Knox County.
