Hunter’s Lawn and Landscape

About Hunter’s Lawn and Landscape

October turns the hills above Portland the color of a struck match, and for a few weeks the work is all leaves — beds cleared, gutters of the yard swept out, one last cut taken low before the ground goes to sleep. Hunter's Lawn and Landscape carries a property from that point into the hard part of the year, mowing, trimming, edging and landscaping while it grows, then plowing and salting drives and walks once the cold has hold of Sumner County. The two jobs are the same job seen from different angles: keeping a place usable no matter what the sky is doing. Nothing beats standing at the end of a driveway you have just opened, the sun barely up over the ridge and the pavement wet and dark. Then spring comes back around and the mower comes off the trailer again.
