Gomer's All Things Above

About Gomer's All Things Above

You can watch weather arrive a long way off in this part of Sumner County. Storms stack up in the northwest over open fields and tobacco barns, cross the ridges, and by the time the first fat drops hit the driveway you have already seen the whole thing coming. Gomer's All Things Above works under that sky — mowing, trimming, edging, clearing beds and hauling off yard debris, timing the route around what is building over the county line. Grass here answers a storm within a day, and a yard cut just ahead of one keeps its shape all week. There is something worth staying for in an evening after the rain moves through: the air washed clean, the ground steaming a little, and a lawn cut sharp enough to hold the light.
