Diamond Lawn & Land Maintenance

About Diamond Lawn & Land Maintenance

First light on a gravel lane north of Portland in December: frost silvering the fence wire, breath showing, the whole ridge holding still. Diamond Lawn & Land Maintenance is out in both halves of that year — mowing, trimming, edging, brush and field cutting and lot clearing through the green months, then plowing and salting drives and lots when winter takes the county. Land work here means acreage as often as it means a front yard: fencerows to knock back, rough ground to bring down, an overgrown corner returned to something usable. Doing it well leaves an outline you can see from the road, the line between kept and unkept drawn clean. Then the cold arrives, the work changes shape, and the same properties get opened up again by morning.
